East Coast Lagoon Food Village
The East Coast Lagoon Food Village is designed with a resort-like feel, offering a charming ambience by the sea and local delicacies at reasonable prices. The food stalls are neatly arranged around the periphery of the site, allowing patrons a panaromic view of the wide variety of culinary fare. The tables and seats, finished in natural timber tops, are dispersed around the site while spacious circulation areas were incorporated to accommodate large crowds. The pavilions and open-sided cabanas add to the charm of dining in an open and well-ventilated food centre, which is also accompanied by lush landscaping, an open-air palm court and "open" restrooms that resemble Balinese courtyard toilets. Generous overhanging roof keeps the rain out and maintain maximum cross ventilation. The service corridors were also 'hidden' to keep the untidy back-of-house out of sight from the public.
