Punggol-Serangoon Reservoir Scheme

CPG Consultants was appointed by PUB, Singapore's national water agency, to provide complete engineering consultancy services, as well as Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Contract Management for the Punggol-Serangoon Reservoir Scheme.

We managed this project from design to construction, developing and implementing the Environmental Monitoring and Management Plan for the construction of Punggol and Serangoon reservoirs.

A feasibility study of the Reservoir Scheme and a yield study were carried out, and a flood management study was conducted to assess flood implications. Thereafter, the Punggol and Serangoon Rivers were dammed up to create two new freshwater reservoirs that would provide reliable long-term water supply for Singapore.

In addition, water quality modelling and contaminant source assessment were carried out to predict water quality in the reservoirs.
