Shenzhen Fourth People’s Hospital (Futian Hospital)
The Fourth People’s Hospital of Shenzhen (Futian Hospital) is a world-class 1,200-bedded health care institution design to provide high quality international and basic healthcare services for the Shenzhen Futian district. Envisioned to be a comprehensive healthcare facility with research, teaching, preventive and rehabilitation care, the new extension will complement the existing hospital with state-of-the-art facilities, technologies and Eco-friendly design. The facility consists of three Ward Towers, one of which is dedicated for the International patients and complementary Ancillary Facilities.

The Fourth People’s Hospital of Shenzhen (Futian Hospital) is design to embody people centric features, healing environment, intelligent integrated technology and low carbon design hospital model that will set to become the regional benchmark in both healthcare and Sustainable design standard.

The hospital will offer a wide range of outpatient clinics, 1,000 inpatient rooms, advanced diagnostics, an international medical centre and around the clock emergency services. With its “every patient has a window” ward design, the 3 dimensional vertical gardens stacking not only adds to the healing environment for the patient, visitors and medical staff, but also adds nature’s warmth to the surrounding buildings. With that, it raises to the competition committee’s challenge to create a hospital that breaks out of its usual sterile cold environment to transform into a warmer and welcoming urban city scraper.
