New VIP Complex, Singapore Changi Airport
The VIP Complex has a striking elevation composed of granite clad blade walls juxtaposed against the crisp lines and massing of white washed planes and full height glazing. Its dignified presence arises from the multivalent effects of reflections off the material palette and surface of the water feature, setting the tone for the interior lobby and rooms. Spatially, the interior material palette is made up of cool, austere glass planes contrasting with warm timber hues. The zoning of spaces and strategic use of planes create filtered levels of privacy and a heightened sense of progression as VIPs traverse through the complex.
