CPG Consultants work in collaboration with Perkins+Will, the concept designer of this project. Our concept for Nucleos consists of three components; field, finger and flora which are fused together to create a single vision. The building’s east facade is a unified field that wraps around the south side to blend with the exterior gardens on the west, which transforms into a series of building fingers in an east-west direction. An urban view corridor cuts through the middle of the building, providing a visual vista across the public plaza.
Sky terraces and elevated pocket gardens bring nature into the built environment. By closely interlocking landscape with functional spaces, we aim to make the greens conducive for spontaneous interaction among occupants.
Laboratories are designed with a modular layout, integrated with the structural grid, which allows both flexibility and efficiency in laboratories space planning. The laboratories are also designed with shallow floor to allow good reach of sunlight into the interior spaces; extensively reducing the need for artificial lighting.
