Jurong Logistics Hub
Commissioned by Jurong Town Corporation, CPG Consultants provided architectural design, civil and structural engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering and quantity surveying services for the Jurong Logistic Hub.

The Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) Multi-Storey Warehouse is located on a 10.6 hectare plot of land at the junction of Jurong Port Road and Jalan Buroh. The site is divided into two portions by an abandoned railway line. Phase 1, with an area of 4.1 hectare, occupies the western portion while Phase 2, with an area of 6.5 hectare, occupies the eastern portion. The 8-storey building with a total built-up of about 250,000m², at a cost of $260 million, offers complete cargo services under one roof. It provides prime space for cargo consolidation and deconsolidation, storage and regional distribution, logistics management, sampling, re-labelling and repacking. The layout of the building has allowed the vehicular traffic of passenger cars and trucks to be segregated.

The office complexes are strategically integrated with the warehouse components. The design of the warehouse conveys the ambience of an up-market commercial space with an expression of a “pro-business” image.

This design won first prize in a design competition in 1997.
