Central Expressway Widening (ER285 to ER287)

CPG Consultants was awarded Contract ER285 to ER287 which comprises the design, construction and completion of widening approximately 5.49km of dual-three lane to dual-four lane carriageway partly at-grade, and on viaduct with slip road connections.


The Land Transport Authority (LTA) awarded four contracts as part of the project to widen the Central Expressway (CTE) from Bukit Timah Road to Yio Chu Kang Road with four continuous lanes to improve traffic flow and capacity of the expressway, in order to meet the needs of the North-East corridor road network of Singapore.


The road widening works involved the stretches of CTE from Bukit Timah Road to Moulmein Flyover (Contract ER287), Pan Island Expressway and Braddell Interchange (Contract ER288), Braddell Road to Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 (Contract ER285), and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and Yio Chu Kang Road (Contract ER286). It also involved the upgrading of all roads, drainage, canal and bridges along CTE.
