Queensway / Commonwealth Avenue Road Interchange

As a major arterial road, Queensway is part of the Outer Ring Road System (ORRS) while Commonwealth Avenue serves as another major arterial road that links residential towns in the western region to the city.

The upgrading of the intersection at Queensway/ Commonwealth Avenue catered to the expected increase in the traffic capacity and future traffic demand at the Queensway and Commonwealth Avenue junction. The scope of work comprised the introduction of a dual two-lane 90m long vehicular underpass and 490m long depressed carriageway to allow through traffic in the northeast direction. Together with the upgrading of commuter facilities and drainage system, this project aims to benefit the public, as well as road users.
