CPG raises funds for food from the heart

In conjunction with our anniversary celebrations on 1st April 2017, we organised activeCPG2017 Family Day. The event sought to promote the adoption of an active lifestyle and concurrently, foster family bonding. Through the event, we were seeking to engage our staff and their families to inspire healthy living in all aspects of their lives, thereby raising funds for a better cause. Staff showcased their creativity and took up booths within the premise to either conduct games or sell homemade items to fellow colleagues and families.

We are pleased to have raked in a total of $5,400.70 from the day's event as well as from our staffs' personal contributions.

About Food from the Heart

Through its Bread Programme, come rain or shine, volunteers collect perfectly edible, unsold bread each day and redistribute to those who need them. Each month, 21,000 people receive bread that would otherwise be wasted. In a year, volunteers collect about S$3.56 million worth of unsold bread from 117 bakeries and hotels and deliver them to 136 welfare homes, Self Collection Centres and needy families. With the support of donors, food industry partners and more than 1,700 volunteers, Food from the Heart made a difference to the lives of 33,000 people throughout Singapore by distributing S$5.36 million worth of food in 2016.

channel news asia documentary - a new place to call home

Broadcasted on 31 March 2017, Channel News Asia featured a series of Nursing Homes in response to Singapore's pressing problem - a rapidly ageing population. The profound impact of this issue is already being felt today.

The proliferation of this issue will result in the younger generation facing problems where two or fewer working adults will have to support both the younger and elderly dependents.

In this feature, the Ang Mo Kio Nursing Home was introduced. Ren Ci has planned for this new home since 2014, which features a whole new care concept to let residents feel more at home. The home design is based on the concept of cluster living, and has infused redesigned solutions that are future-ready.

CPG has been instrumental in the design of healthcare projects, and is proud to leverage on its past experiences and capabilities to undertake the role of multi-disciplinary consultant for this Nursing Home. A suite of services was rendered for this project, including Architectural design, Civil & Structural Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering and Quantity Surveying services.
