Jurong Island Checkpoint Contra-Flow Study

Jurong Island Checkpoint (JIC), a security checkpoint that controls access of vehicles and persons to Jurong Island, started operation in July 2003 and has since recorded an increase of an average 25% of people using it over the years. The island is expected to experience a robust growth over the next few years. Thus, a study was required to evaluate the handling capacity of future JIC.

The Jurong Island Checkpoint Contra-Flow Study Stage 1 was completed in December 2006. Subsequently, JTC Corporation commissioned CPG Consultants in January 2007 to undertake Stage 2 of Jurong Island Checkpoint Contra-Flow Study, which was completed in February 2009.
