Prototype Glasshouses @ Horticulture Park
Prototype Glasshouses are developed at the Horticulture Park in Pasir Panjang to provide an experimental and research platform on the feasibility of building and operating cooled conservatories in a hot-humid climate. This is preparation for the future Gardens by the Bay development at marina South. Serving more than just a test bed for horticulture experimentations, the glasshouses are showcase of advanced low-energy technologies that are applicable to many other commercial building types in Singapore. These include green features like energy efficient lighting, daylight utilization, water efficient irrigation, environment management system and ground cooling system.
