To-Be-Built Park Category - Innovative Design Award – Bidadari Park

Connecting People: Constructing new memories at Bidadari Park

Nestled within Bidadari housing estate, Bidadari Park serves as a recreational green connection between estates. Consisting of Parks North and South, the parks offer various shared facilities to bring the neighbourhood together. Park North is made up of bird watching areas, a play area, event lawns, an underground service reservoir, a land bridge, lavatories and, carpark facilities. Park South houses Alkaff Lake, a retention pond that is part of Singapore’s sustainable stormwater management. Taking into consideration the historical significance of the area, a heritage boulevard between Park North and Park South leads to a memorial garden, which reflects the memories of the former Bidadari Cemetery. CPG provided architectural, civil and structural engineering, and environmental engineering consultancy services for Bidadari Park.

To-Be-Built Rejuvenation Category - Certificate of Merit – Design – Limbang Shopping Centre

Old is Gold: Breathing New Life into Limbang

Amidst Singapore’s swanky new shopping malls, Limbang Shopping Centre stands out as a charming neighbourhood establishment located near Limbang Park. There is something alluring about the old buildings in this village-like atmosphere and layout, exuding a sense of rustic aura. The new and improved design of Limbang Shopping Centre will bring in a wider variety of shops, as well as Food & Beverage options, allowing residents to relive the old days by walking through the Peranakan shophouse facades along a labyrinth of shopping streets.
